HTC Ocean Note: HTC is launching its new device (possibly on January 2017) HTC Ocean also known as HTC Ocean Note. The device will have 5.5 or 5.7-inch display with no physical keys on the front. No 3.5mm audio jack as well in this phabet just like HTC Bolt, HTC EVO. Here comes the exciting part, HTC Ocean Note comes with curved screen like Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The other key selling feature of Ocean Note is its camera but we don’t have much information about it…. Yet. According to sources HTC claims that this device has “highest ranking from DxOMark”. We remind you that at the moment this title held by Google Pixel with 89. However, HTC 10 scores 88 points and so improving by 2 points may not be too hard for the Taiwanese brand. Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 launching next week at CES: Qualcomm officially announced that Snapdragon 835 is on its way to CES keynote next week. This highly anticipated chipset is bringing  Quick Charge 4 technology  which Qualcomm says that will give devices to 5 hours of battery life with 5 minutes of charging. Qualcomm also claims that a smartphone gets charged from 0 to 50% within 15 minutes. Snapdragon 835 will provide steady performance and battery usage both to devices with USB Type-C and USB Power Delivery. The Snapdragon also has INOV (Intelligent Negotiation for Optimum Voltage). This is actually an algorithm which basically reads what amount of power the mobile device needs in a specific time. The SOC is clocked Octacore 2.2 GHz with Adreno 540 GPU and claimed up to 30% more powerful and 40% more efficient that its predecessor Adreno 530. Huawei P9/P9 Plus crossed 10 million shipments: Huawei is accomplishing milestones in the last two years. The smartphone manufacturer announced that the global shipments of its flagship devices  P9 and P9 Plus  crossed 10 million shipments which makes this series the very first flagship to ever reached this milestone. This big announcement was made today in a press release by Richard Yu who’s currently CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group. Huawei launched their P9/P9 plus in April 2016 with dual-lens Huawei P9/P9 Plus devices. They’re the first flagship smartphones developed with the collaboration of German camera brand Leica. Galaxy A series 2017: Yesterday, we informed you that Samsung is working to launch it’s new  A series phone . Today the company started distribution of invites for their event on 5th January 2017. This invitation includes some unclear information about what to presume. Samsung decided to launch their event in Kuala Lampur (Malaysia). Samsung A series waterproof devices: Samsung Malaysia just teased with their new post showing their upcoming A series which is said to be waterproof. A series is likely to be mid-range but they’re giving waterproof feature like their flagship devices like S7/S7 Edge. As per the image above it clearly depicting the phone is going to have waterproof Galaxy A series. BlackBerry Mercury coming to Verizon: As we informed you already about the new  Black Berry Mercury  announcing in 2017. It’s official now that the phone is coming out officially by Verizon in the United States. A new statement is unveiled by the well-known Roland Quandt in a tweet hereunder: BlackBerry "Mercury" BBB100 is coming to Verizon in the US. — Roland Quandt (@rquandt) December 24, 2016 As seen above BlackBerry Mercury features a physical QWERTY keyboard as black berry legacy.  The phone also has fingerprint sensor in it's space button. In specs the phone is likely to have Snapdragon 821 and a curved display with 4.5-inch screen. Rumors says that the phone is going to have a large battery to get 2 days out of it. The specs are going to have pretty solid but lets see if they manage to attract many BlackBerry fans unlike BlackBerry Priv.

Xiaomi's new Piston Fresh in-ear handsfree: Xiaomi is Chinese smartphone manufacturer who’s phone accessories are highly famous among smartphone users mainly due to their quality and price. The company recently introduced its new pair of headphones. They called it Piston Fresh and it’s available in China. The price of these hands-free is just 29 CNY or about $4. The company says that these hands-free has 3 rd  generation damping system and come with built-in microphone. Other than this they also has a button for receiving calls. This is not something we call a breakthrough but surely a nice addition in such a low price. In color options we have blue, black, pink, purple and silver. (5 colors) The main drawback of these headphones is that they do not work with iOS devices L. It has an impedance of 32 Ohms with standard frequency response from 20 Hz to 20000 Hz. Beast Mode in Samsung Galaxy S8: Samsung started beta testing of Android N for Samsung Galaxy S7. You might have seen some high performance modes in S7 when playing games. Samsung has filed protection for the name "Beast Mode" in the European Union. This trademark will be used in their smartphone software (according to the filing). It’s clear that the Beast Mode will be used in Samsung S8 when it officially announces in April 2017. It’s still unclear that Beast Mod will actually do. By judging by its name it is linked with performance, specially while playing high performance games. Galaxy S8 is going to be a beast in specs wise which is confirmed. The rumors are that it will have Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 (Qualcomm’s 2017 flagship processor) with 8GB of RAM. Stereo speakers,  Bluetooth 5.0  but no 3.5mm jack. It is also confirmed that S8 is going to be more expensive than S7.

LG's new G Pad III

LG's G Pad III: LG has launched it’s new G Pad III (that’s what they say). An Android Tablet with 10.1” FHD screen. The resolution of this tablet is 1920x1200 and surprisingly it supports LTE. Under the hood G Pad III has an octa-core 1.5GHz processor which comes with 2GB/32GB memory config. It features 5MP/5MP camera (front and back). The G Pad III is handy to use and measures 256.2 x 167.9 x 6.7 (7.9mm thickness) and weigh around 510g. In software it runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. 6,000mAh battery is there to keep this tablet alive. The tablet comes with built-in stand which allows up to 70 degrees of adjustment. Google makes it easier to switch from iOS to Android with Google Drive: After the release of  Google Pixel and Pixel XL,  Google is actively working on apps for iOS so that it could back up the contents to Gmail account (Android). iOS 10.2 released

Apple started its beta program of IOS 10.2 on November 1 st  2016. Today, (after one month) they released final IOS 10.2 for IOS devices. You could check the update by going into settings or through iTunes from your PC. This new update 10.2 supports more than 100 new emoji’s, wallpapers and screen effects in you iMessage. It’s also a big update for Apple’s new TV app (only available for US at the moment). This means that Apple TV customers can easily watch their favorite content from multiple services. Other than this, emergency SOS contact emergency services when you press power button five times. Music app is also changes by giving us buttons of Repeat and Shuffle on the screen (thankfully). In camera section this update gives us no more reset of camera settings when you start the app as faced by some customers. There’s also an additional video widget. Android N distribution market

Android N distribution market: Every month Google update its distribution chart of Android so that we know how many phones are running which OS version over the past few weeks. If we talk about Nougat 7.0, it shows that it’s now 0.4%. The number is still not countable but it jumped 0.1% from November’s chart. Android Froyo is more than 5 years old and it’s the only OS which is lower than Android N at 0.1% in the market. Marshmallow covers 26.3% which increased over the last month of 24%. Android L (Lollipop) has 34% market. KitKat has dropped from 25.2% to 24%, whereas Jelly Bean has 12.8% of the market decreased from 13.7% last month. Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich also decreased from 1.3% to 1.2%. As more smartphone companies rolling out Nougat updates, Android N will soon get more market share. Many smartphone manufacturers are rolling our Nougat update including Moto Droid Turbo and HTC M9. We’re hoping to see Android N will increase its market in next few months...

We saw some Geek Benchmarks of upcoming BlackBerry’s next smartphone BlackBerry Mercury below: After that we saw these two latest pictures showing QWERTY keyboard with front camera with likely the proximity and light sensors on the other side of the earpiece. This is probably the image of BlackBerry Mercury: In specs we have 4.5-inch screen with 2.0GHz CPU (Qualcomm chipset), 3GB of RAM and has 32GB of internal storage. That front camera probably be the 8MP and on the back an 18MP shooter is expected. As the above images are showing BlackBerry Mercury will run Android just like BlackBerry Priv.
