Every smartphone company is focusing on Google’s Nougat update in their new devices. Samsung already launched Nougat on S7/S7 Edge, HTC has launched Nougat in M9, HTC A9 and HTC 10.
Huawei announced Nougat plans for it’s smartphone devices today. Huawei phones get Nougat updates with Huawei’s EMUI skin. The expected date of the update is Q1 of 2017.


Hereunder the list of Huawei devices getting Android N update:

  • Huawei Mate 8
  • Huawei P9
  • Huawei P9 Plus
  • Huawei P9 Lite
  • Huawei Nova
  • Huawei Nova Plus
Android N in these devices with WMUI 5.0 on top will give more secure, uder friendly UI and more efficient Huawei claimed. The company also states that with this update the users can reach 90% of the core functions with just two or three taps.
The new UI of Huawei lets users to choose between app drawer or standard layout (No Menu button). Users could also jump between their professional and personal lives effortlessly with profiles (Like HTC Sense). In this way they don’t need to switch their phones.
The above mentioned phones will also get the beta updates for the participant who wish to register themselves in the beta program like Apple.
