Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ launched:
After many leaked images and video we finally have the details of Samsung’s 2017 flagship Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. Samsung introduced these two phones which looks somehow same as their previous flagship S7edge (which also gets the best mobile phone of 2016 award during MWC 2017. Although the design is somehow relative to the S7 but the company worked on decreasing the width of the bezel just like LG G6.
As the name says, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are different in size. S8 is 5.8” panel whereas Galaxy S8+ is at 6.2” screen phone. As usual Samsung continued to provide Super AMOLED in both phones which features an extra wide aspect ratio of 18.5:9. In resolution both has 1,440 x 2,960 resolutions.
In both phones Samsung added HDR10 just like they did on Note7. Samsung partnered with Amazon to bring HDR capable content. The company claimed that these two devices are the first Ultra Dynamic Range certified screens but we don’t know much about it yet.
Samsung ditched their home button and now we have pressure-sensitive on screen buttons. Samsung claimed that the tactile feedback of these two devices is better than Apple’s…..
However, One new button did appear in the phone and Samsung named it Bixby. It’s basically a digital assistant to answer voice queries. Image recognition can spot the images and find products on Amazon. There’s a hub on the home screen similar to Google Now. Samsung expecting that by 2020 most of their appliances/devices will be connected and under Bixby’s control.
In the camera section, Galaxy S8 camera uses the 12MP Dual Pixel sensor. This sensor could also be found in S7 but the company did some tweaks by improving software this time. It can now capture multiple exposures to raise image quality. Samsung calls it Multi frame Processing just like Google’s HDR+.
The front camera is now 8MP sensor with autofocus (with enhanced face detection).
As we’re mobile industry has already introduced 5G the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are the only phones to offer 1 GB LTE. Under the hood both phones have Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 chipsets (depending on the market they lauched) without compromising the performance of these two beasts.

Some countries are lucky when it comes to the memory of these devices. In most of the countries you will get 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage but China and Korea (probably) will get 6GB/128GB instead. This shouldn’t be a problem because of fast storage and thanks to the UFS / microSD hybrid card slot.
The only difference between these two devices (aside from price) is the battery. In S8 you’ll get 3,000mAh battery whereas in bigger Galaxy S8+ you’ll get 3,500mAh. Good news for us that in the box you’ll get Adaptive Fast Charging adapter.
Both phones are waterproof (IP68) and for screen protection both phones has the latest Gorilla Glass 5.
