Galaxy S8 US pre-orders surpass all records

Galaxy S8 US pre-orders surpass all records

Samsung's Galaxy S8 and S8+ already launched and becoming Samsungs most successful flagships. Both phones has already broken records in South Korea (Samsung's home country). Samsung fans pre-ordered more than one million units in total. These numbers are more than what Korea has seen for any other flagship smartphone release.

Not just in South Korea, both devices did pretty well in US also. Tim Baxter, COO of Samsung Electronics America said that pre-orders of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ were the "best ever" for Samsung. It breaks all records at the company. Both devices are 30% more pre-ordered than the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge last year.
Samsung didn’t disclose exactly how many units were pre-ordered in the US. This might be because they’re waiting for the numbers to reach in a certain level so that they compare it with Apple's records.
Samsung also said they’re working on a software which will fix the red tint issue some S8 owners complained. This update should roll out before the end of this week. Other than this update another update will go out to South Korean units only to fix some Wi-Fi connectivity problems.
