Apple is developing its own GPU for next year’s iPhone:

Apple is developing its own Graphics Processing Unit to replace its current provider, Imagination.

Half of Imagination's revenue is coming from Apple and losing the iPhone maker as a client will be terrible news for the company. In this case we might see an A-series chipset with Apple-designed CPU and GPU in 2018 iPhones.
We might not see any lawsuits here because both parties are actively discussing “potential alternative commercial arrangements” according to Imagination.
