Google guarantees Pixel updates through 2018: Google’s policy of updating their devices is almost the same with any Nexus device in the past. Which is, Android updates for two years and security updates for three years or 18 months max. Google has recently posted something about their current flagship devices Pixel and Pixel XL. Google has released Google Pixel in October last year (2016). Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL will both receive latest Android versions through October 2018. As expected Google promised to give updates for two years to its devices. However, security patches could go longer than the updates. (3 years or 18 months).

iPhone 8 Geek Bench, the power house: The iPhone 8 is going to be a beast when it comes to the performance of its processor. Today a leaked image shows up in China showing the results from the iPhone 8 running Geekbench 4.0. As the image above shows, the benchmark is so powerful, it absolutely destroyed the competition. Its single-core score has 4,537 points. It is 30% more compared to the iPhone 7. You might wonder what the newly launched Samsung Galaxy S8 has. It scores 1,945. iPhone 8 performance is more than twice than Samsung Galaxy S8. If we talk about the multi-core performance of the iPhone 8 (8,975) its 58% better than its predecessor. The Android device which scored the best here so far is the Galaxy S8+ with 6,338. This means that the next iPhone performs 41% better than its most important Android-based competitor. Refurbished Galaxy Note 7 launching in Korea:  As informed earlier  Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is rising again from the ashes  and this time it will not explode. After looking at the refurbished Note7 with possibly 3000mAH battery instead of 3500mAH the note is now Wi-Fi certified yesterday. In South Korea the refurbished Note 7 is going to be available in June this year. To get the device all you need is to pay KRW 700,000. This means that the phone will cost you $620. This is about $255 less than what the Note7 cost when it launched last year (KRW 988,900 - $875). That’s almost 30% price cut in Korea. The refurbished Galaxy Note7 devices are expected to come with smaller battery as compared to the devices last year. The best you can hope for is 3,200 mAh, but there's a chance it will be only 3,000 mAh apparently. Still there is not firm news from Samsung. Galaxy S8 US pre-orders surpass all records

  Galaxy S8 US pre-orders surpass all records Samsung's Galaxy S8 and S8+ already launched and becoming Samsungs most successful flagships. Both phones has already  broken records in South Korea  (Samsung's home country). Samsung fans pre-ordered more than one million units in total. These numbers are more than what Korea has seen for any other flagship smartphone release. Not just in South Korea, both devices did pretty well in US also. Tim Baxter, COO of Samsung Electronics America said that pre-orders of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ were the "best ever" for Samsung. It breaks all records at the company. Both devices are 30% more pre-ordered than the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge last year. Samsung didn’t disclose exactly how many units were pre-ordered in the US. iPhone 6 (32 GB) discounted in Malaysia: Apple recently launched iPhone 6 (32 GB) version. iPhone 6 is about 3 years old device which has received a price cut in Malaysia. Switch and Machines are the retailers which are currently offering this phone for RM1,699 (around $385). This means that the discount is about RM300 ( about $70). If you remember, the launch price was RM1,999. iPhone 6 (32GB) is now cheaper than the iPhone SE 32GB which is currently cost you RM1,949 (around $445). LG G6 in India with huge price cut: LG has launched its 2017 flagship G6 in India. The price tag is INR 51,990 ($806).  LG G6  will be available offline through retail outlets. If you wish to purchase this phone online, well only Amazon is offering at the moment. LG has introduced such huge price cut in Indian market to stand toe to toe in front of its rival Samsung (Samsung Galaxy S8 (INR 57,900/$898)) That’s not all, if you wish to purchase this phone online you’ll get INR 2000 (about $31) off in account of pre-booking. Furthermore, HDFC and SBI credit card holders will get further INR 5,000 ($78) as cash back. LG has also gave discount (50% off) on the LG Tone Active+ headset if purchased along with the  LG G6 . Jio customers on the other hand will get 100GB 4G data and additional 10GB on every recharge. The phone will go on sale later this week in black, white, and platinum.

HTC U 11 with Edge Sense feature: HTC has started distributing invitations for the company’s newest flagship HTC U 11. The HTC U 11 features touch-sensitive edges on either side of the display. These edges perform different actions based on the gestures. Below video shows how HTC’s new edge technology technology would work. Although the video didn’t mention any name. HTC Also tweeted yesterday a sneak peak of their upcoming Flagship  here . Here’s what their invitation looks like: HTC U 11 Specs: HTC U supposedly powered by Snapdragon 835 with 5.5-inch QHD display. Other feature includes 12MP main camera and 16MP selfie camera. In storage option HTC U will have 64GB and 128GB variant. Android 7.1 Nougat with HTC Sense 9 out of the box. HTC U 11 also features Bluetooth 5.0.  Bluetooth 5.0 is the latest generation of the wireless standards. It provides four times wider range than the previous Bluetooth 4.2 along with twice the data transfer speed.

Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ preorders in the US: Samsung is all set to launch S8/S8+ in the US today (April 21). Although the device is available for carriers, those who which to buy unlocked variants can now place pre-orders. B&H asks $830 for the S8 (64GB) whereas S8+ (64GB) has a price tag of $930. As far as the availability is concerned shipments of these pre ordered devices will begin next month (May 17). Best Buy said that they will start selling the unlocked S8 and S8+ in May 9. In BestBuy the prices stood at $724.99 and $824.99. Pre-orders haven’t yet started but they should be coming in any moment.

HTC flagship to be announced on May 16: Today HTC announced its next flagship phone (most probably to be called HTC U). The phone is going official on May 16. Korea's most pre-ordered phone

Korea's most pre-ordered phone: Samsung Galaxy S8 was the most anticipated phone by Samsung. As expected the phone hits 1 million pre orders in Korea. This makes it the most pre ordered smartphone of Korea. It's just been 10 days since pre-orders in Korea started. In first week, 720,000 numbers reach. This means that nearly 300,000 more units were pre-ordered in the last 3 days. Samsung is targeting to sell 60 million units of the Galaxy S8. Experts are suggesting that the company could hit 50 millions in this year alone. While the smartphone is set to officially launch on April 21, some pre-orders have already started shipping. However, complains of the phone also started pouring in (Red tint screen).

HTC One X10 poster leaked: An image of HTC One X10 poster just leaked. Like the slogan says “Big style meets bigger battery” the main selling point of this phone will be the design and battery life. No official words came so far but we could expect the battery is going be a long-lasting one. As per the rumors the device is with 5.5” 1080p panel and 3 GB RAM. Under the device it has Helio P10. Fingerprint sensor finally appears on a One X10 and positioned under the camera on the back.

Refurbished Samsung Note7 spotted with 3,200mAh battery this time: Couple of weeks ago we informed you that  Samsung confirmed  that they’re considering to sell Note 7 replacing faulty batteries. At this time US and India will get this device but now we received few pictures (from Vietnam) where there is a Samsung manufacturing facility.   This new Note7 (Samsung might change its name from Note 7 to something else) as shown in a picture model number N935. As informed by Samsung hey changed the battery and now we have 3,200mAh. Original Note 7 had 3500mah battery. Even though it’s a refurbished Note7, there’s no detail by Samsung that when these devices will be available.

Apple is developing its own GPU for next year’s iPhone: Apple is developing its own  G raphics  P rocessing  U nit to replace its current provider, Imagination. Half of Imagination's revenue is coming from Apple and losing the iPhone maker as a client will be terrible news for the company. In this case we might see an A-series chipset with Apple-designed CPU and GPU in 2018 iPhones. We might not see any lawsuits here because both parties are actively discussing “potential alternative commercial arrangements” according to Imagination.

True Tone displays in iPhone 8, 7s, and 7s Plus just like iPad Pro 9.7: A new rumor surrounding over the internet regarding Apple's iPhone 2017 lineup. The rumors are confirming about the devices' ambient light sensors. These sensors will be in the expensive version (atleast) of the iPhone ( possibly iPhone 8). This phone is also going to have an AMOLED panel. At this time only iPad Pro 9.7 have the True Tone display capability. True Tone is basically the color intensity of the panel. It automatically adjust the screen based on the surrounding environment using the sensors in it. For example, the display will be warmer when you're using the device under low lighting, but cooler and bluer if you're outside on a cloudy day. This feature will be in all upcoming iPhones by using a full spectral sensing ambient light sensor. These sensors are provided by an Austrian company AMS Semiconductor.
