Huawei Officially coming in the US in 2018

Huawei Officially coming in the US:

After months of rumors and unconfirmed reports, the Chinese based smartphone manufacturer giant Huawei has finally and officially revealed that some of its phones will be sold by US wireless operators.  The launch will begin in 2018. The first phone to be launch will be from Mate 10 family however no exact date confirmed by Huawei.

The report comes from ABC News, mentioning Richard Yu who’s the president of Huawei Technologies consumer business. He said "We will sell our flagship phone, our product, in the US market through operators next year." The Mate 10, and its high-end brother, the Mate 10 Pro, went on sale in China and other markets before. Previous rumors claimed that Mate 10 Pro would be sold by AT & T and Verizon in 2018. Yu did not specify details on which operators would sell their phones, but did reveal that more information about those sales plans will be announced in early January during CES 2018.

Huawei has sold phones with its own name and with its brand Honor in the USA as unlocked devices online. Huawei is currently the number three seller of smartphones in the world, behind only Apple and Samsung. Yu said today that the company's phones, as sold by operators, would have a "competitive price" in the US market.

He also added that Huawei does not expect its plans to be affected by the security concerns of the US government.  Some lawmakers and agencies have expressed concern in the past that Chinese-based smart phone companies like Huawei could use those devices to spy on consumers. Today, Yu denied that this would be the case, and suggested that such claims were politically motivated or perhaps generated by their competitors.
