Qualcomm and Samsung Powering up in Snapdragon 835
Lat week we’ve informed you that Qualcomm is making it’s new high end processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 with the support of Quick Charge 4.0…. Well! The news was correct with a slight change in the name.
Today, Qualcomm has announced that they are collaborating with Samsung to make the newest Snapdragon 835 processor. This processor will be fully based on South Korean’s Giant’s newest 10nm FinFET which is the smallest yet powerful processing technology yet.
Qualcomm says that the new 10nm FinFET is 30% more size efficient and gives 27% bettery performance. In power consumption this tech is 40% power efficient. Due to it’s small size, it will help smartphone manufacturers to add other components in their devices like bigger battery or anything else.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 is the first processor which supports Quick Charge 4.0 which we discussed in detail earlier. The company claimed that this technology (Quick Charge 4.0) gives 20% fast charging as compared to Quick Charge 3.0. It’s Dual Charge parallel charge technology makes sure that you get more in your battery in less time. As expected, it supports USB-C as the industrial standards these days which means that you’ll be able to charge USB-C devices more fast like Nexus phones and Pixel as well.
Quick Charge 4.0 has 3rd Generation INOV (Intelligent Negotiation for Optimum Voltage) providing thermal management in real time scenerios. Qualcomm also going to introduce it’s two new power management ICs, which will be named as SMB1380 and SMB1381. These two have upto 95percent max out efficiency along with advance quick charge features.
Qualcomm says that the Snapdragon 835 is expected to be in devices in the first half of 2017 (probably in Samsung Galaxy S8) :-) This partnership between Samsung and Qualcomm definitely revolutionize the Mobile Phone industry and push this industry to it's limits.
